CAN04 is a first-in-class fully humanized monoclonal antibody targeting IL1RAP blocking IL-1 alpha and beta signaling and triggering antibody dependent cellular cytotoxicity. Methods: The primary objective was to assess safety and tolerability of weekly CAN04 in order to define the Recommended Phase 2 Dose (RP2D). Cantargia´s antibody CAN04 (nidanilimab) is investigated in an open label three-armed phase IIa clinical trial, CANFOUR.

The main project, the antibody CAN04, is being studied in the clinical phase I/IIa CANFOUR study with a primary focus on non-small cell lung cancer and pancreatic cancer. The study is focused on combination therapies, but also includes a monotherapy arm. Positive interim data from the combination therapies were presented in December 2019.
